Like Chet I’ve also been thinking of building an Anarchist Toy Chest for some of my son, but I don’t know where to place the airholes – any suggestions?
Great show as usual.

Peter,

If you use the Rockler surface mount child toy box hinges, there will be a gaps all along the back edge of the lid. It is not a huge gap but it does keep the box from being airtight.

If you feel that isn’t enough, I can envision long thin routed slits on the back of the chest that would allow air but be (generally) out of view.

Just my 2 cents 🙂

Shannon mentioned hand tool school members who were making due on 30th floor apartments and wanting to see pictures of their work areas… I’d love to see some pictures too!

I’m going to be taking a one or two year break from my 3 car garage shop and relocating to a two bedroom apartment in a city because my wife’s going to be attending an internship for the end of her doctoral program. This has driven me towards hand tools recently (which I’m loving) and started me thinking about building a smaller/transportable workbench and how to efficiently store my gear in a second bedroom (which we’ll need anyway because I work from home)
