  1. There is nothing wrong with knitting. It’s what I do when I can’t get out to the shop because it’s too cold. Someday I will have a heated shop, but until then I will be keeping warm with my knitting.
Can’t wait til you all are back with the podcast.

  2. Hi Guys, I know Mark can pronounce my name, the phonics lesson is for you other two.
I’ve been on a little bit of a hiatus from Woodtalk myself…..about a year and a halfs worth. I’ve been doing a lot of non-shop stuff like building a porch and painting my house. Listening to Woodtalk became too depressing…..no, it’s not you guys, I’ve learned how to deal with that. Too depressing listening to other woodworkers talk about projects when I couldn’t get into my shop. Anyway, I finally started listening again and selected a show from Oct 30, 2017, WT416, which I’m sure you remember included a question on what features a hybrid woodworking bench should have to facilitate both the hy and the brid functions. I know it has been a while but in my never ending quest to feel useful I have a suggestion. A lot of my non-handtool work at the bench involves things like jig saws and drills, Once this episode got me thinking about it, I decided I will add several pullout supports under the bench. That way, I can lay the workpiece across the supports and drill and saw to my hearts content without creating extra bench dog holes or cutting off the corner of the bench. Of course, the supports would be easily replaceable for the inevitable time I cut through one. Love the show, glad to be back listening and take as long as you want to get back on the air. I’ve got a lot of catch up to do. George
